Dr. Anthony Fauci’s legal exposure is real and growing.

After the former head of the NIH was held in contempt of Congress for refusing to answer questions about the COVID-19 pandemic, a GOP senator and chairman of the House Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee made a criminal referral to the Justice Department.

While the legitimacy of Fauci’s preemptive pardon from President Biden will now be tested in the courts, there is no protection from criminal prosecution at the state level. Now, at least five states—Florida, Louisiana, Alabama, Oklahoma, and West Virginia—have announced or confirmed ongoing investigations.

In addition to the Fauci news, more declassified FBI records show the firing of Director Comey triggered an unprecedented investigation by the bureau into a sitting president and it turns out 2020 was not the “most secure in American history.”
