It was only a matter of time.

Anticipating multiple federal and state cases, Fauci’s lawyers have launched a legal defense fund. Donations are not tax deductible.

This comes as his former senior advisor pleaded guilty on August 18th to one count of conspiracy to commit offenses and to defraud the United States (under 18 U.S.C. § 371).

The scheme was designed to avoid Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and the Federal Records Act during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the plea agreement, former Fauci adviser David Morens and his co-conspirators agreed to use personal email accounts to avoid public disclosure of sensitive discussions about COVID-19 origins, as well as federal grants that funded controversial coronavirus bat research.

Morens was originally indicted on multiple counts; the plea was to the single conspiracy charge. He faces a maximum of 5 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000, with sentencing set for November 12, 2026.

But the real story is hidden from public view and under seal by the Maryland court. The secret records known as a “sealed supplement” could decide the fate of Fauci and many other high-profile COVID researchers who misled the public about COVID and its origins.

DEEP DIVE: WHAT’S IN THE SEALED SUPPLEMENT?

Typically, a sealed supplement details any cooperation agreement by the defendant—in this case Morens—or notes that no cooperation agreement exists.
