Clinton + Company: Round Up The Usual Suspects

TOP LINE

While the Clintons’ depositions for the Republican-led House Oversight Committee on their relationship with convicted child sex offender Jefffrey Epstein were eye-popping in more ways than one, most reporters missed a fascinating detail.

Flanking the Clintons were two lawyers who have defended the couple through virtually every scandal: from a controversial Arkansas real estate investment known as Whitewater, to intern Monica Lewinsky, impeachment and then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s email scandal.

Lawyer Cheryl Mills has been with the couple since the early 90s.  David Kendall, their long time personal attorney, has a reputation for running interference, even blocking depositions in other high profile cases, not just Epstein.

Both Kendall and Mills are central to Mrs. Clinton’s email scandal and the destruction of more than 30,000 so-called “personal” emails leading up to the 2016 Presidential election.

At the time, Clinton dismissed the emails as yoga class schedules and wedding plans for their daughter Chelsea.

Regardless, Mrs. Clinton’s deleted emails could be especially important now to understand the structure and financing of the Clinton Foundation and Clinton Global Initiative.

Did the Clintons’ non-profits benefit from their association with Epstein and his circle?

As the old saying goes, these lawyers, MIlls and Kendall, probably know where the bodies are buried.

DEEP DIVE

Less than 72 hours after the Clintons’ video depositions were released, a leading member of the House Oversight Committee, Republican Nancy Mace accused the couple of lying under oath about their relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
